A Rare Panerai WWII Diver's (Kampfschwimmer) Watch. 1944 3646 Type E Rolex 618 Type 1 with anonymous dial and Cortebert 17 jewel movement, case back stamped 261111 and jewellers scratch mark JX44 NX262, exterior of back scratched MARHCUM ?. Sold with old leather strap and two lead (alloy?) gaskets which were discovered when the back was removed. Believed to be only the 28th known example of its type recorded.
The watch has been tested and runs for 36 hours with good precision.
